Understanding Linked Entities
Linked Entities enable relationships to be established between different Workflows in SureCloud. By linking Workflows, you can allow records from those Workflows to reference one another, creating a network of connections that enhances how data is managed and utilized across the platform.
What Are Linked Entities?
Linked Entities are connections between two or more Workflows in SureCloud. Once Workflows are linked, their records can reference one another, forming a bidirectional relationship. This means you can access and interact with linked records from either Workflow, fostering better integration and data organization.
Use Cases for Linked Entities
Here are some examples of how Linked Entities can improve your data management in SureCloud:
-
Third Party and Assessments
Link the Third Party Workflow to the Assessments Workflow to track which assessments have been completed for a particular third-party engagement. -
Projects and Assets
Link the Projects Workflow to the Assets Workflow to provide a comprehensive view of all assets associated with a specific project. -
Controls and Risk Assessments
Link the Controls Workflow to the Risk Assessments Workflow to demonstrate how controls mitigate specific risks.
How to Set Up Linked Entities
To set up Linked Entities:
- Navigate to the Linked Entities tab within the Workflow you want to configure.
- Use the Add Linked Entity button to link this Workflow to another Workflow.
- Specify whether the link should have a one-to-one (Single) or many-to-many (Multiple) relationship between the records in the Workflows.
