Stage-Based Role Permissions
Role permissions for a record can be customized on a stage-by-stage basis. This is done using the Roles tab in the Stage Details sidebar.
In the Roles tab, you’ll see a list of roles that have access to the entity. Changing a role’s permissions for the workflow will still respect any permissions set at the attribute level. For example, if a role is granted edit access on the workflow but doesn’t have permission to edit a specific attribute, they will not be allowed to edit that attribute.
For a specific stage, you can set a Role's access to one of the following:
- No Access
- Can View
- No Override (The role reverts to its original permissions.)
Important Notes
Permissions set at the stage level only apply while the record is in that specific stage. Once the record transitions to a new stage, it will either:
- Follow the default Entity permissions, or
- Respect the Role permissions configured for the new stage.
