Workflows in SureCloud can now move automatically thanks to the Auto-Transition feature. This removes the need for manual button presses by allowing transitions to trigger based on date conditions - perfect for things like reassessments, due dates, or time-bound processes.
Important Note:
All existing transition rules still apply. For an auto-transition to trigger, your record must still meet all the set requirements like completed fields or answered questions.
Enabling Auto-Transitions
You can toggle Auto-Transitions on or off for any transition in your workflow.
Where to find it:
Navigate to the transition setup screen in your workflow configuration.
Look for the option "Auto-Transition".
Toggle this on to activate auto-transition behaviour and select the date conditions, i.e. Date Is Before Today by 1 Day.
Setting Date-Based Conditions
The Auto-Transition will only occur when the Date condition is true. You can choose from the following:

| Equals | The workflow checks if the selected Date field is matched to today, another date attribute or a given static date. | Trigger the reassessment process. |
| Is After | Checks if the selected Date has passed today, another date attribute or a given static date. | Trigger escalation after a due date. |
| Is Before | Checks if the selected Date precedes today, another date attribute or a given static date. | Trigger a review process before it's due. |
What Happens When the Transition Triggers?
Once the date condition is met and all other required conditions are satisfied, the workflow will automatically move to the next stage.
This behaves exactly as if a user manually pressed the transition button.
All configured actions for that transition (e.g., notifications, task generation, form updates) will still fire as usual.
