Overview
SureCloud provides a flexible Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) integration capability. This allows customers to sync data from almost any external system into SureCloud.
This is designed for customers who:
- Do not have the capacity to build custom API integrations.
- Are not covered by existing out-of-the-box connectors.
- Need a fast, low-effort way to integrate SureCloud with their broader toolset.
How ETL fits into your architecture
External system → SureCloud ETL → SureCloud workflows
- Data is pulled from the source system via API.
- SureCloud transforms and maps the data.
- Data is loaded into the relevant workflows.
- Optional push-back sends selected SureCloud data to external systems.
The SureCloud ETL approach
SureCloud’s ETL integration removes this complexity.
Key characteristics:
- Connects to any external system with an API.
- Pulls data into SureCloud on a scheduled basis.
- Maps external data directly into SureCloud workflows.
How it works
- SureCloud connects to the customer’s external system via its API.
- Data is extracted on a defined schedule.
- Data is transformed to match SureCloud’s data model.
- Data is loaded into the relevant SureCloud workflow.
Sync frequency: Default sync runs every 4 hours.
Data mapping:
- External fields are mapped to SureCloud objects, fields and workflows.
- Data can be mapped to any workflow in the platform, including risks, assets, incidents, controls, actions and more.
What can be integrated?
Examples include:
- CMDBs and service registries.
- Risk and compliance tools.
- Ticketing and workflow systems.
- Evidence repositories.
- Custom or in-house applications
If the system exposes an API, it can typically be integrated.
